From Chiloe (Quellon) to Coihaique.

More maps and routes appears in our trip!
The target of this journey is Coihaique, taking Quellón like our starting point. First, we need to remember that we are in an island (Chiloé), so we must to cross the sea again to get back to the continent. The trip takes around 5 hours by ship from Quellón to Chaitén, and sometimes there's just like 3 trips per week, so we have to organize it well or we will stay in the island just looking at the sea for some time (it doesn't seems a bad idea but time is gold).

The price to cross by ship is around 32USD aboard of "Don Baldo" operated by Naviera Austral.

Then, when we're already on Chaiten, we'll have a straight route till Coihaique, and stopping at cities like Puerto Cisnes and Puerto Aysén. This journey is very ambiguous by now and we need to talk well which places we'll visit, because there is A LOT of National Parks and National Reserves to choose.

The list of the National Parks and Reserves is:
From Chaitén - Coihaique (Source: GoogleMaps)
  • Parque Tantauco
  • Parque Palena
  • Parque Nacional Corcovado
  • Reserva Nacional Lago Palena
  • Reserva Nacional Lago Rosselot
  • Parque Nacional Isla Magdalena
  • Parque Nacional Queulat
  • Reserva Nacional Lago Las Torres
  • Monumento Natural Cinco Hermanas
  • Reserva Nacional Rio Simpson
  • Reserva Nacional Manihuales
  • Reserva Nacional Coihaique
  • Reserva Nacional Trapananda

I told you, it's a lot. So as usual, we will be happy to receive your comments or suggestions. Do you like some National Park? Did you have some experience there? Tell us!
